Single Origin Espresso Roast

Ethiopia • Daanissa

Ethiopia Daanissa, a single origin espresso roast that is sure to delight coffee enthusiasts with its unique flavor profile. Grown in the fertile and nutrient-rich land of the Guji region, this coffee is the product of 37 farmers who each own around 3 hectares of land in the sub kebele of Daanissa.

The coffee beans are grown under a natural shade canopy of forest, giving them a unique taste that is highly sought after. This particular roast boasts notes of peach, strawberry, and mango, with a jasmine floral undertone. The finish is a juicy sweet caramel and milk chocolate flavor that lingers on the palate.

What sets this coffee apart is the meticulous attention to detail in the post-harvest process. All farmers contributing to this lot are trained in agronomy and post-harvest practices by the renowned Ture Waji, known as the “King of Guji”. Waji manages the dry mills in the area, where the lots are tagged and separated, and their drying progress is monitored daily. This ensures even and effective drying, which in turn preserves the long-term quality of the coffee lots.

Ethiopia Daanissa is a coffee that truly represents the unique flavors and qualities of the Guji region, as well as the dedication and expertise of the farmers and mill managers who produce it.
