Single Origin Filter Roast

El Salvador • Los Angeles

This single origin filter roast comes from the Finca Los Angeles farm, situated in
the beautiful Ahuachapán mountain range in the west of El Salvador. Planted only
with Pacamara, a unique variety known for its large beans, the farm is part of the
Los Naranjos group, headed by Sigfredo Corado, a retired professor of Agronomy
from the National School of Agriculture.

The farm is part of the Renacer Program, a technical coffee field school and
educational program for small to medium producers in the area, focused on best
farm practices that are restorative for the land and soil, as well as beneficial for the yield and quality of the coffee. The program is funded by Raices and supported by
Catholic Relief Services in El Salvador.

The coffee is selectively harvested, then taken to the wet mill and drying beds at
Benefi cio San Rafael, located between the two hills of El Pilon and Cerro Aguila at
1450 masl. Here, the Pacamara beans are washed and floated, then laid out on
drying beds for between 22-25 days, moved every hour until ready.

The resulting coffee boasts notes of sweet strawberry cheesecake, tart kiwi, and
creamy milk chocolate. This coffee is a testament to the dedication of the Los
Naranjos group and their commitment to sustainable farming practices, as well as
their focus on producing high-quality, delicious coffee.
